The baking cups arrived cleaning and with no nasty or chemical smell. The cups are really colorful and bring me a good mood! They felt soft but sturdy and can be used for multiple times.
1. As with all new kitchenware products it is advisable to wash before use.
2. Arrange the silicone baking cups on a baking sheet or slip the them into the holes on a muffin pan.
3. Pour cupcake or muffin batter into the baking cups, allowing a 1/2-inch head space for expansion. You can lightly grease the cups beforehand if you wish to ensure easy removal and cleaning, however it is not essential.
4. Bake the cupcakes and muffins according to recipe instructions; Little Gems silicone baking cups can withstand up to 440 degrees Fahrenheit.
PLEASE NOTE: For some recipes you may need to reduce the ingredients to avoid leftovers.
5. They need to bake until completely done and golden, and then they need to cool until they pull away slightly from the sides of the cups. In this respect silicone is no different from traditional metal pans; baked goods need to cool and form a slight crust before they can be removed from the pan, or else they'll tear. Once your cupcakes have cooled for at least 15 minutes, gently depress the bottom of the cupcake mold and carefully peel the sides away, effectively turning the cupcake mold inside out. It should come away easily.
